A bill has been submitted to the State Duma proposing fines for drivers of personal mobility devices (PMD). Driving an electric scooter while intoxicated and refusing medical examination will result in a fine of 20,000 to 30,000 rubles.

Intoxicated cyclists are also planned to be penalized in the future — the fine will range from 1,000 to 1,500 rubles. Transporting children on PMDs will incur a fine of 5,000 rubles. Using one electric scooter for two people may result in a fine of 3,000 rubles.

If a participant in an accident involving a PMD leaves the scene, they will be fined 5,000 rubles. Driving on the roadway on an electric scooter may result in a fine of 2,000 to 2,500 rubles. In case of exceeding the permissible speed, the proposed fine will range from 500 rubles to 5,000 rubles.

Causing minor bodily harm to other road users may result in a fine of 2,000 to 5,000 rubles. For moderate injuries, the fine will be 10,000 to 15,000 rubles.

Earlier it was reported that major kicksharing services have started fighting violators.
