The Astron Optical and Mechanical Design Bureau from the Schwabe holding of Rostec State Corporation, showed its Blokpost thermal imaging reconnaissance system in Moscow at Securika Moscow 2024.
Blokpost includes a ground-based optoelectronic station on a rotating platform, the first fully domestic drone with a thermal imager UAV 400T, a repeater and control panels. The system works effectively at any time of the day.
The ground station detects a person at a distance of up to 3.5 km, a car will appear to it at a distance of up to 5 km. If necessary, the UAV 400T will take to the air to further investigate the detected targets. It can fly away from the operator at a distance of up to six kilometers and stay in the air for at least 50 minutes. At the same time, an intelligent video analytics system with VR glasses in real time helps the operator to see reconnaissance objects from the drone and determines their coordinates.
According to representatives of Astron, Blokpost was originally developed for special services. But it is also in demand for civilian purposes: for example, for high-quality security and protection of facilities and the search for people.
Recently, OMKB Astron presented its similar development at the Expotechnostrazh exhibition, but with a more global task. The Astron-3V optoelectronic complex for long-range round-the-clock video surveillance Astron-3V ensures security at critical infrastructure facilities. It is controlled remotely and is suitable for monitoring the state border, pipeline sections and power lines.
