It was decided to restore the international airport in Kazan. The Chairman of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, has already ordered the allocation of funds from the reserve fund of the Russian Federation government. The project is estimated at more than 3.7 billion rubles.
First of all, they will repair the apron, and the work is scheduled to be completed by October 1 of this year. After the renovation, the site will be able to receive up to 33 wide-body aircraft simultaneously.
In addition to subsidies from the reserve fund, an additional 3.7 billion rubles will be taken from the regional budget to implement the project.
The decision to carry out a large-scale reconstruction of the airport is connected with the upcoming meeting of the BRICS heads of state in Kazan. At the upcoming meeting, Russia will act as the main leader.
It was previously reported that by the end of 2024, more 30 airports in the Far East will be restored in Russia. More than 70 billion rubles were allocated for this.
