Preparation is underway at the Vostochny cosmodrome for the launch of the airport. Today, the Tu-134 special board of the Cosmonaut Training Center tested the runway.
The plane was piloted by an experienced crew of the Cosmonaut Training Center, led by the commander of the united aviation squad Vadim Yunders. At the same time, the crew worked out one of the exercises to prepare for the approach and landing at the airport with limited use of radio technical means of approach to landing. After a brief parking and preparation for a repeated take-off, the plane headed for the airport of Blagoveshchensk.
Last month, the airport complex of the Vostochny accepted the first air board. It was a helicopter on which a special reconnaissance commission made a flight over the territories to determine the landing sites for the reusable first stage of the promising rocket "Amur".
At the moment, construction of the second phase facilities, including the airport complex, is underway at Vostochny. In April 2023, it was planned to extend the runway from three to four kilometers.
