The "Special Design and Technological Bureau of Applied Robotics" (SKTB PR) has developed mobile robotic fire extinguishing units (MRUP). Firefighting robots can extinguish fires in the most dangerous conditions, including radiation, according to the Moscow Department of Investment Policy.
Where can a firefighting robot be used:
- NPPs
- Mines
- Warehouses
MRUP have already passed the necessary tests in an accredited center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. The Moscow enterprise can produce up to 50 firefighting robots per year.
Technical characteristics of the firefighting robot:
- Remote control
- Signal range up to 1 km
- Equipped with cameras, thermal imager, chemical and radiation reconnaissance device
In early 2024, two firefighting robots were delivered to the Novovoronezh and Kalinin NPPs
Earlier, Rosatom specialists began commissioning works at the first power unit of the Akkuyu NPP.
