Research institutes and universities in Tomsk will create the first quantum network beyond the Urals to implement scientific and educational projects in the field of quantum technologies. The project partner is the company "InfoTeKS".
All network participants will have access to quantum technologies, which will allow them to conduct research on real infrastructure. The network core will be launched in 2024-2025 at the sites of TUSUR, TSU, TPU, and SibGMU. In the future, it is planned to expand the network beyond the Tomsk region.
How can a quantum network be used:
- creation of technologies for a quantum-protected communication system
- development of regulations for the use of quantum communications in medicine
- study of the operational characteristics of equipment and networks
The project is being implemented using Russian equipment and cryptography.
Quantum networks will enter our lives in the near future. The project will give impetus to the training of specialists in this field
