Уровень локализации — 75% : на «Мотовесне» показали новый отечественный двигатель Gimura 1000s

The all-aluminum engine is designed for ATVs and snowmobiles

Engineers from Kazan presented the domestic forced liter-class internal combustion engine Gimura 1000s at the "Motovesna" equipment exhibition in Moscow. The developer and investor of the project is Rustem Zaripov.

The engine is designed for installation in ATVs and snowmobiles. Its weight is 60 kg. The power of the standard version is 106 hp, and the turbocharged version is 215 hp.

The Gimura 1000s is made entirely of aluminum. Its throttle and injectors are from VAZ, the crankshaft and camshaft are from contractors, and the castings are of its own production. The localization level is 75%.

The engine will begin to be assembled in Kazan in 2025. The current plan is 300 engines per month. More than 100 million rubles have already been invested in the project.

The developers are currently looking for investors to build a plant. The cost of launching the enterprise is estimated at 500 million rubles. The production site is expected to break even in three years.
