Satellite builders from "RESHETNEV" continue the project to create the Express-RV satellite communication system.
The development of the technical project for the Express-RV space system has already been completed. It will include a control and measurement complex, a ground control complex (control centers in Zheleznogorsk and Moscow), as well as a rocket and space complex, which includes launch vehicles and spacecraft.
Four Express-RV satellites will operate in four planes in high elliptical orbits, with an altitude of 40,000 at the apogee and 1,000 km at the perigee. To accomplish the tasks, the spacecraft are equipped with equipment for operating in three frequency bands, including 12 Ku-band antennas that will track fixed service areas in real time.
The Express-RV group will provide broadband Internet access throughout Russia. And even on the Northern Sea Route and the North Pole.
In addition, these satellites may provide communication and Internet to Russian trains. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev, at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.
At the end of 2024 – beginning of 2025, we will launch four Express-RV spacecraft, which will be used in a highly elliptical orbit. They will provide us with Internet and communication on the route of all moving objects on sea routes, as well as on moving objects within the country. We very much hope that this will solve the issue of access to the Internet and communication services on the railway.
Reshetnev's company is already conducting development work to create a satellite communication center and subscriber equipment for stationary and mobile objects.
