Military expert Dandykin: A-222 "Bereh" is maneuverable and can cover marines

The Dnieper River Flotilla will include A-222 "Bereh" self-propelled artillery units (SAU). It will also include units of marines and special forces. This was reported by an informed source in the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to military expert Vasily Dandykin, the Dnieper River Flotilla has a long history. It began during the Great Patriotic War.

He suggested that the flotilla would include river minesweepers, armored boats, artillery and landing boats.

Dandykin stressed that there are no installations like the A-222 "Bereh" in the West. They are highly maneuverable and can cover marines.

Another military expert, Dmitry Boltenkov, noted that the "Bereh" has a heavy projectile. It will easily destroy enemy boats.

Technical characteristics of the A-222 "Bereh":

  • Caliber — 130 mm
  • Strikes surface targets moving at speeds of more than 185 km/h
  • Ammunition consists of 40 rounds
  • Projectiles — fragmentation and high-explosive
  • Has a radar that detects a target at a distance of up to 35 km
