The latest "Palantin" electronic warfare systems were "spotted" at the Russian Ministry of Defense exercises in Transbaikalia. Developed by the Sozvezdie Concern (part of Roselectronica, which is part of Rostec), it has been in service with Russia since 2019, and still has no competitors in terms of a number of parameters.
The "Palantin" consists of 22 mobile stations: long four-axle KamAZ trucks with many antennas on the roof.
[...] The vehicles are placed along the front line, start generators, deploy 15-meter masts with antennas and connect to the data exchange network. The complex is capable of suppressing any activity on the air: headquarters radio stations, artillery or aviation radars, control signals of bombs and cruise missiles. Thus, they hide an entire army from the enemy, for example, from cruise missiles that are guided by GPS. As a result, planes and missiles will be blinded, and the enemy will be disconnected from orders.
This electronic warfare complex also knows how to pinpoint the suppression of cellular communication centers and Internet sources at enemy command posts at a distance of more than twenty kilometers. At the same time, civilian infrastructure does not suffer.
In addition, "Palantins" can work in conjunction with RB-109A Bylina supercomplexes", which have no analogues in terms of the volume of the electronic warfare shield they create.
