The inauguration of President Vladimir Putin, elected in March, will take place on May 7. He will arrive at the official inauguration ceremony in the updated Aurus Senat limousine, according to a source at FSUE "NAMI" (the developer of Aurus).
Sources claim that the restyled Aurus Senat will receive air suspension and a fully controlled chassis. Changes will affect the bumper, lighting equipment and interior. But the engine of the car will remain the same.
Apparently, the presidential motorcade will be accompanied by new Aurus Merlon electric motorcycles. They will replace the German BMW R1150RT and BMW R1200RT motorcycles.
In October 2023, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov, told reporters that the serial assembly of the Aurus Senat after restyling will begin in May 2024. At the same time, the minister did not disclose technical details.
