Technopromexport Company of the Rostec State Corporation has tested the second power unit of the Udarnaya TPP in the Krasnodar Territory, which runs on natural gas. The equipment operated for 72 hours in nominal power mode of 230 MW and contributed to the Unified Energy System of Russia, confirming all the stated characteristics.
The total capacity of the Udarnaya TPP is 560 MW, the first power unit with 230 MW is already ready and has been operating since the beginning of March. "Udarnaya" is unique not only because it was built by Russia independently in the context of sanctions and restrictions on the supply of imported equipment.
The equipment of "Udarnaya" includes a domestic high-power gas turbine GTD-110M, capable of operating in the power range from 118 MW to 495 MW and above. This is the first Russian installation of this class.
GTD-110M
This is a single-shaft gas turbine for driving electric generators as part of gas turbine power and combined cycle plants of high power. It can operate on various types of fuel: natural gas, associated petroleum gas, kerosene, diesel fuel.
The characteristics of GTD-110M include:
- power on the power turbine shaft (ISO 2314) — 118 MW;
- efficiency (ISO 2314) — 36.0 %;
- output shaft speed — 3,000 rpm;
- fuel consumption (at nominal mode) — 23,700 / 28,200 kg/hour;
- gas outlet temperature — 517 °С;
- gas outlet flow rate — 361 kg/s.
The weight of the turbine on the frame is 60 tons, its dimensions are 7.19 x 3.76 x 4.34 m.
