The Far Eastern Railway has received three new EP3D series electric trains for use on suburban routes in the Primorsky Territory, Russian Railways reported.
With these trains, there will be 10 EP3Ds operating in the region. This year, the Far Eastern Railway will receive 5 more new electric trains, including 1 for the Primorsky Territory.
Evgeny Veide, Head of the Far Eastern Railway, said that in 2023, suburban trains in Primorye transported almost 5.5 million people, which is 11% more than in 2022.
EP3D electric trains are produced in the Moscow region at the Demikhovsky Machine-Building Plant. They can reach speeds of up to 120 km/h.
