Preparations for the launch of the heavy Angara-A5 rocket are continuing at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, with about a month remaining until the launch. Preparation of the Orion upper stage for the rocket is proceeding according to plan.
Roscosmos specialists have checked the systems of the stage, installed components, and are fueling Orion with propellant and compressed gases. Preparation of the upper stage's ground equipment is also underway at the launch complex.
Comprehensive testing of the upper stage has been ongoing for a month. During this time, Orion has undergone pneumatic and electrical tests, and now it awaits integration into the space head section for general assembly with the Angara-A5 rocket.
After being transported to the launch complex, comprehensive tests with the upper stage will be conducted to test the systems before the first launch.
