The largest telecom operators in Russia will receive the first domestic industrial lead-acid batteries Oxide as early as April 2024.
They are produced by the Roselectronica holding of the Rostec State Corporation.
The Novosibirsk Radio Parts Plant "Oxide", as part of Roselectronica, is engaged in the development and production of Oxide using AGM technology. It is planned to produce 60 thousand pieces per year.
Such batteries are used as part of backup power sources, for example, at automated telephone exchanges, automatic telephone alarm equipment, servers, and ensure the uninterrupted operation of telecommunications equipment. The equipment is able to withstand long and deep discharges, high and low temperatures.
Currently, the Russian market of domestic industrial batteries is less than 20%, and foreign analogues have risen in price many times over and are delivered to the country less frequently. Therefore, Oxide has good prospects. The first interested parties, in the person of the largest telecom operators, have already concluded long-term supply contracts with their manufacturer.
