The "Remdiesel" machine-building plant from Naberezhnye Chelny presented its armored vehicles at the World Defense Show in Saudi Arabia. The equipment received additional add-on protection, said the company's CEO Alexander Zakharov.
According to him, the "Phoenix" armored vehicle (an import-substituted version of the "Typhoon 4x4"), which has been supplied to the Russian military since 2023, has add-on protection. It is a mesh that protects against shots from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers (RPGs) and FPV drones.
Various combinations of armored steel and armored ceramics are also provided, as well as the installation of electronic warfare stations, depending on the tasks assigned to the vehicle
The "Phoenix" is designed to transport personnel and cargo. The armored vehicle has seats for 10 people.
The 4x4 vehicle, with a curb weight of 14 tons, develops a speed of up to 100 km/h. Its body protects the crew from armor-piercing bullets and artillery shell fragments.
Earlier, the military police received"Patrol" armored vehicles.
