В Минобороны России передали партию обновленных бронеавтомобилей «Патруль»

They are mine-resistant, and their fuel tanks are virtually bulletproof

Updated "Patrol" armored vehicles have been delivered to the balance of one of the units of the Military Police of the Russian Ministry of Defense. During the modernization, the "Patrol" became mine-resistant, and protection was added to the armored vehicle. In addition, it is now capable of carrying up to one and a half tons of various cargo.

The "Patrol" is based on the Russian chassis of the KamAZ-43502 two-axle all-terrain vehicle and looks like an armored capsule with a capacity of nine soldiers

The crew is protected from being hit by small arms of 5.45 mm and 7.62 mm caliber, explosions of explosives weighing up to 2 kg in TNT equivalent when detonated under the wheels of the vehicle, under the bottom or from the sides of the vehicle, and damage by the vehicle's glass.

The "Patrol" runs on a 260 horsepower diesel engine and accelerates up to one hundred kilometers per hour on the highway. Without refueling, it can travel up to a thousand kilometers.

The armored vehicle will perform its tasks even if its fuel tanks are fired upon. They are treated with a special solution that, when pierced by small arms, tightens the hole and eliminates fuel leakage.
