The "High-Precision Systems" holding, a "daughter" of "Rostec", reported on the successes of one of its latest developments - the SKVP radar system.
The development of the Central Design Bureau of Automation simultaneously tracks up to 20 aircraft of various calibers within a radius of up to 80 km. Information about aircraft is displayed on a special monitor of the system operator, and the types of objects are marked with special icons. It recognizes air targets moving at a radial speed of up to 270 m/s:
● small aircraft - at a distance of at least 30 km;
● medium-sized UAVs such as "Orlan-10" - at a distance of at least 18 km;
● small drones - at a distance of 7 km.
One such hundred-kilogram airspace control system includes up to 24 stations with a fixed phased array antenna. The systems are installed on tripods, mobile vehicles, and roofs of high-rise buildings.
The SKVP radar was first shown at the "Army-2022" forum, after which the first orders appeared. In August 2023, it became known that "High-Precision Systems" intends to increase the production of SKVP radar by five times.
Now, representatives of the holding company noted that in modern global conditions, the need for radar to detect strike UAVs has increased significantly.
During operation, the SKVP radars have proven themselves on the best side, and customers confirm the declared characteristics of the product for detecting and tracking unmanned aerial vehicles and small aircraft.
They note that the SKVP radar is a complete system, including workstations, control points and integration with various protection systems from civil defense to air defense. This is how it was refined during production and operation.
