Students of the Magnitogorsk technopark "Kvantorium", together with a member of the Academy of Mining Sciences Ivan Pytalev, have developed a prototype of the first device in Russia that helps to improve safety in mines. This was announced by the project manager Sergey Marochkin.

The device is called "Profiler". It automatically scans vertical conductors and rail tracks in the mine and transmits data to a computer. The measurement results are displayed as a 3D model.

This monitoring allows you to find out about the occurrence of dangerous defects and can prevent an accident in the mine. In vertical mines, the "Profiler" operates at a height of up to 2.5 km, in horizontal mines - without restrictions. It continuously monitors the angles and width of the track, determining the deviation from the permissible values.
