AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov revealed the company's plans until 2030. According to information from the presentation, the automaker intends to expand the engine range. In particular, in the first quarter of 2024, the 1.8 EVO power unit will begin to be installed on the Lada Vesta NG. Next year, Lada Niva Travel and Niva Legend will also receive a 1.8L engine.
In 2024, AvtoVAZ plans to increase car production by 33% to 500,000 units. In the domestic market, the company intends to sell about 450,000 cars, and send another 25,000 cars for export. At the same time, AvtoVAZ will supply more than 100,000 cars to officials as part of a government order.
The concern expects that the car market in Russia will grow to 10% this year, amounting to about 1.2 million cars. This has the potential for growth in sales of AvtoVAZ products.
At the end of 2023, the Russian manufacturer sold a record number of cars (324 thousand) - more than 30% of the total number of cars sold.
