The "Russian Helicopters" holding, which is part of Rostec, has transferred Ansat helicopters to the National Air Ambulance Service (NSSA). The delivery is the last under the contract for 37 helicopters.
Ansat and Mi-8MTV-1 form the basis of the NSSA fleet. In 2022, these helicopters evacuated more than 8 thousand patients in critical condition, including almost 1.5 thousand children. By the fall of 2023, NSSA covered 60 Russian regions.
The press service of Rostec noted that the Ansat has the most spacious cabin. There is a resuscitation module. The helicopter is maneuverable, it can land directly on the highway.
In 2024, the VK-650V engine of Russian production will be tested. It will be installed on the Ansat.
