Residents of the Vincent art quarter in the center of Kazan will be able to order from restaurants, and Yandex robots will deliver them. This was reported to www1.ru in the company's press service.
It is specified that the robots were leased by the development company KamaStroyInvest. Yandex will take over the technical maintenance of autonomous devices and the development of accurate maps for their movement.
Users will be able to place an order through the Yandex Eats application. Delivery is free of charge if a free robot courier is available. The application allows you to track the movement of the robot to the entrance in real time.
According to Yandex, since the launch of the robot courier project in 2019, more than 300 thousand orders have been completed. Now, third-generation robots deliver food in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Innopolis and Krasnaya Polyana.
It is known that there are currently 130 delivery robots operating in Russia. Next year, Yandex plans to double their number.
