Russian armored vehicles are almost completely supplied with the Lesochek electronic warfare system.
This was stated by President Vladimir Putin during the "Results of the Year", answering a question from military commander Dmitry Kulko about the supply of drones to Russian troops.
You know, many things are appearing in electronic warfare systems as well. You certainly know all these names, maybe even better than me. "Lesochek" is a new system, it is installed on almost all armored vehicles, well, as far as possible, of course. We will increase [drone supplies], of course.
According to data from open sources, the new generation Lesochek electronic warfare system has been actively used by the Ministry of Defense since 2017. In terms of its efficiency and convenience compared to other previous developments, this station has a three times increased operating frequency range and has new methods of generating interference.
Lesochek protects units in motion and at a standstill from radio-controlled landmines, mines, improvised explosive devices and other means of destruction based on radio-electronic channels.
The station is efficient and very small: it is packed in a backpack or carrying bag. Due to its compactness, it is used not only in combat conditions, but also for anti-terrorist security of mass events. Lesochek is able to create "zones of silence" for cell phones that can be used for terrorist attacks.
Added. Roselectronica said that Lesochek is being modernized. The complex will become more powerful and mobile after being refined by the Sozvezdie concern.
