The United Shipbuilding Corporation has launched the nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" of the modernized project "Yasen-M" from the boathouse. This is the third cruiser of this category.
The changes and technical solutions implemented in the Yasen-M project relate to the element base of radio-technical armament systems, modernized equipment and materials produced by Russian enterprises in cooperation.
Submarines of the Yasen-M project, designed by SPMBM Malakhit, with cruise missiles are considered the most expensive, powerful and silent in the world. They have incorporated a number of unique, state-of-the-art Russian developments in the field of military weapons, naval weapons, technical and electronic systems, and energy.
The hull of the boat is made of low-magnetic steel with a rubber coating, which makes the submarine invisible and inaudible in the ocean. It can dive to a depth of more than half a kilometer, and attack enemy targets with missiles and torpedoes, including targets on land. It is also capable of using underwater drones. 90 people serve on the Yasen-M.
