According to Daniil Khainov, the initial plan was to tidy up the body of the "Limpopo" and hand over the updated car to the museum. However, then the idea arose to completely restore the car.

The prototype stood in the garage of the Soviet designer for a long time and was subjected to corrosion. Khainov's sons intend to restore the body of the "Limpopo", complete the work with the electrics and finish the interior.

For the internal elements of the interior, it is necessary to invent the backs of the seats and the steering wheel trim

"Limpopo" was made in the style of the "Okhta" minivan in two versions: with an internal combustion engine M67-36 and an electric drive. It was the first urban car of an ultra-small class. Therefore, "Limpopo" is often called the Soviet prototype of Smart.
