Project "Roy 9" announced by MTS

MTS cybersecurity specialists from RED ("Serenity Cyber Security") have registered a new domain to test machine learning forms on third-party devices. Project "Roy 9" will involve hundreds of Russian volunteer users in the process.

MTS explained to journalists that they are not planning any AI product, "Roy 9" is intended for internal needs. However, the question of the safety of its participants still arises.

However, the issue of how to protect Russians in the development of AI and new technologies in Russia has already been raised at the presidential level.

Vladimir Putin at the recent international conference "Journey to the World of Artificial Intelligence" (AI Journey) announced amendments to the law on experimental legal regimes in the field of digital innovation.

Responsibility for possible harm to health, life or property during testing or use of new technologies will be increased.

One example of how technology can be used for ill was a joke performance with a deepfake at the same AI Journey.

At one of the conference stands, AI temporarily turned presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov into American engineer, entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk in front of the audience.
