The Russian Checkmate light tactical fighter was presented at the Dubai Airshow 2023 International Aviation and Space Exhibition. It has unmanned and two-seat versions.
The development has aroused interest among foreign buyers and partners. The management of Rosoboronexport has stated that it is ready to cooperate with foreign partners in the creation of both modifications of the fighter.
Checkmate Fighter
The single-engine stealth Checkmate can carry up to seven tons of payload at a speed of Mach 1.8.
Its compartments have space for air-to-air and air-to-ground aviation weapons.
Checkmate is capable of opening simultaneous fire on six targets within a combat radius of 3,000 kilometers.
The fighter uses the most advanced developments, including an open architecture for the benefit of the customer and unique artificial intelligence technologies.
