The Ministry of Digital Development of Russia is launching a project for electronic student IDs, grade books, and other documents confirming studies at universities. The corresponding features will appear on the Gosuslugi portal.
According to the press service of the ministry, it will be possible to track academic performance, buy tickets with discounts, and use benefits provided for students in online format. The project of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation is published on the federal portal of regulatory legal acts.
It is expected that the electronic student ID will be available from 2024. It will be available to students studying in bachelor's, specialist, master's programs, as well as residents and postgraduates.
Holders of electronic student IDs will be able to apply for a preferential travel card, attend concerts and museums, and enter the university grounds. The student ID can be downloaded to the phone, but it does not cancel the traditional paper ticket, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation summarized.
