Import-substituted steering wheels, seatbelts and airbags for cars will appear in Russia.
According to an insider from «RBC», the project will be implemented with a Chinese partner based on Chinese technologies at a joint production.
It is planned to produce airbags, electronic control units for safety systems, steering wheels and seat belts.
The production will use the premises of the industrial park of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, which has become the main asset of «Sollers».
The investment in the project at the first stage will amount to approximately 1.5 billion rubles. The company plans to attract this money through a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).
