Import-substituted steering wheels, seatbelts, and airbags for cars will appear in Russia.
According to an «RBC» insider, the project will be implemented with a Chinese partner based on Chinese technologies in a joint production.
It is planned to produce airbags, electronic control units for safety systems, steering wheels, and seatbelts.
The production will use the facilities of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant industrial park, which has become the main asset of «Sollers».
The investment in the project at the first stage will be approximately 1.5 billion rubles. The company plans to attract this money through a loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).
