New Yunker parachute robot appears in Russian troops

It relies on GLONASS and can move in caravan mode behind a parachutist

The Rostec State Corporation has presented a new development: the Yunker-DG-250 cargo parachute system with automatic control and a GLONASS navigation system.

Yunker has passed state tests and has begun to enter the troops.

When using the flight mission preparation module, the operator enters information about the robot's landing point. It is controlled by the GLONASS navigation system. The landing accuracy is up to one hundred meters.

The robot can follow a parachutist in the air, following the flight path after him until landing using the "Follow Me" system attached to the parachutist. A person can also control the robot manually. And several "Yunkers" can line up in a caravan and move in the air one after another and after the parachutist.

The system has proven itself well, so Rostec is now working on a version of the Yunker capable of carrying cargo with a total flight weight of up to 500 kg.
