The strategic missile submarine "Emperor Alexander III" launched the intercontinental ballistic missile "Bulava" (developed by the "Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology", which is under US sanctions) as part of the planned tests of the cruiser.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the launch was made from the White Sea to the Kura missile range (testing range of the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces - editor's note www1.ru) in Kamchatka. It is noted that the shooting took place as normal. Following its results, the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense will decide on the acceptance of the submarine into the Russian Navy.
The cruiser "Emperor Alexander III" was assembled at the Sevmash enterprise in Severodvinsk as part of the "Borei-A" project. It carries torpedoes and 16 Bulava missiles.
Earlier www1.ru wrote about the start of sea trials of the mine sweeper "Lev Chernavin", named after the Rear Admiral of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy.
