The barrage munition 'Cube', designed according to the flying wing principle, will receive an increased warhead, said the head of 'Kalashnikov' Alan Lushnikov.
According to him, the relevant tests have already taken place, they confirmed the calculations of the engineers. Lushnikov emphasized that the request to increase the warhead came from Russian servicemen. Now specialists are work on increasing the range of the 'Cube' and equipping it with new navigation tools.
The kamikaze drone was first presented at the IDEX exhibition in the UAE capital in 2019. The 'Cube' is designed to hit remote ground targets with a warhead (the weight of the payload is 3 kg). The drone can fly at speeds up to 130 km/h, flight duration - 30 minutes.
It was previously reported that at the 'Kalashnikov' factory, production line was launched for manufacturing parts for artillery shells. Over 70 machines have been ordered for their production.
