The RB-109A Bylina electronic warfare supercomputer, unparalleled in the scope of its electronic warfare shield, appears to have entered service with the Russian military.
The use of "Bylina" in combat operations has been mentioned by both French intelligence and Russian journalists, citing sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense. There is no official confirmation of its use on the front lines yet.
What is known about the RB-109A Bylina
The Ministry of Defense first announced the new complex during the joint strategic exercise with Belarus, "Zapad-2017."
The effectiveness of electronic warfare assets under the control of "Bylina" increases many times over, while taking into account radio-electronic compatibility with its own communication and radar reconnaissance systems.

Characteristics of "Bylina"
The RB-109A Bylina electronic warfare complex is mounted on five high-mobility and maneuverability trucks. They arrive at the site, deploy, and automatically establish communication with the higher headquarters, battalion and company command posts, and dozens of electronic warfare complexes.
"Bylina" is controlled by artificial intelligence. The system analyzes the situation in the combat area, finds and classifies targets, selects a method of suppression, and issues orders to the electronic warfare stations within its system.
There can be dozens of electronic warfare stations in the network. Simultaneously, "Bylina" can oversee the operation of different systems with varying characteristics: "Leer-2", "Leer-3", R-330 Zhitel, "Tirada-2", "Lorandit", "Diabazol", "Palantin".
The military development easily recognizes radio stations of any type of power, radar and communication systems, long-range radar detection aircraft, ships, boats, and even enemy satellites. And is able to suppress them.
