St. Petersburg technology company Geoskan started mass production of agricultural drones "Geoskan 801" in 2023. The first quadcopters for agricultural needs will be delivered to customers in November. They can also be used for monitoring road infrastructure conditions and identifying illegal structures.
"Geoskan 801" is equipped with a thermal imager and a camera with a 14-fold zoom, which records video in 4K format. The picture is transmitted to the operator at a distance of at least 10 km.
The quadcopter is controlled through a separate communication channel using a convenient ergonomic remote control, which is significantly larger than a joystick.
The agricultural drone also received a special receiver to eliminate interference, including for combating an anti-drone gun. All-weather flight of the "Geoskan 801" is ensured by a system for cooling electronics - in heat and a system for heating the battery - in the cold.
At Geoskan, it is emphasized that the quadcopter "Geoskan 801" is a completely Russian development. The intelligent core, battery, and carbon blades are all produced at the company's own facilities in St. Petersburg.
It was previously reported that it was learned to control the drone Geoskan Pioneer Mini using an optorhythmograph device that reads the operator's thoughts.
