Engineers from Bauman Moscow State Technical University developed a group of small spacecraft (SCs) for the purpose of monitoring space heliogeophysical parameters. The testing of the spacecraft for the interests of Roshydromet have been successfully completed, as reported by the state corporation "Roscosmos".
It is noted that the spacecraft have galactic cosmic ray detectors (such rays originate from supernova remnants, formed as a result of a powerful explosion in the late stages of the evolution of massive stars - note by www1.ru editor) "GAMVEKI" - analogues of "GALS" equipment, which is part of "Meteor-M" devices.
Bauman's spacecraft were launched into orbit in June 2023 from the Vostochny Cosmodrome. The work was carried out within the framework of the "Universat" program.
Roscosmos also reported on the creation of a new ground station "Orion-C" for communication with the International Space Station (ISS). This is about the exchange of information between astronauts of the domestic segment of the ISS and specialists of the Flight Control Center (MCC), which is located in the Moscow suburb Korolev.
The new equipment was placed at the Reshetnev company in Krasnoyarsk region, which is part of the corporation. The staff of the Zheleznogorsk command post will manage the spacecraft, collecting data for scientific and socio-economic purposes.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian cosmonauts on the ISS launched a student nanosatellite, developed at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
