The Russian Lada Vesta NG in camouflage has appeared on roads in China. This is likely about fine-tuning tests of the version with a CVT, according to the "Chinese Automobiles" publication. The car is expected to receive a WanLiYang CVT18 CVT in 2024.
The media does not rule out that a turbocharged engine with 180-190 "horsepower" is being tested on the Lada Vesta NG. The expansion of the Lada engine range is possible in the next 2-3 years.
The test Lada Vesta NG was assembled in November 2022. The car was tested for the correct operation of equipment and technologies. The first car did not leave the assembly site; it was used for staff training.
Sales of the Lada Vesta NG after the restyling began in the summer of 2023. At the start, it was offered with two engines and in two body types. The cost of the basic configuration starts from 1.24 million rubles.
