Swedish Volvo No Longer Services Russian Cars

Volvo Cars clients from Russia will not receive assistance, even if they bring their car to a service center in another country

Volvo Cars has completely withdrawn from Russian clients. Brand service centers and online services are no longer available to them.

The automaker's website states that deliveries of its cars to Russia are temporarily suspended.

The company confirmed this in an official response to a request from «Autonews.ru». This is explained by the fact that Volvo Cars complies with anti-Russian sanctions from the European Union.

What this means

Russians can no longer:

  • use the Volvo Cars mobile app;
  • connect to the technical data exchange service with the brand's dealers (TIE);
  • use the VIDA system for diagnosing car malfunctions;
  • update the car's software.

The company emphasized that the restrictions apply to all Volvo cars delivered to Russia at any time. Even if you seek service support in another country, the owner of a «Volvo from Russia» will not receive it.
