Rostec's Combat Robot: New Koalitsiya-SV Self-Propelled Howitzer Conquers the Military

Experts have already called it the best in its category worldwide due to its rate of fire, process automation, and multitasking capabilities.

The Rostec State Corporation has completed state tests of the new 152-mm self-propelled artillery gun (SPG) Koalitsiya-SV. The development of the Burevestnik Central Research Institute has already been called the "best howitzer in the world" due to its speed, efficiency, and range.

The Koalitsiya-SV SPG has 70 shells in its standard ammunition load.

Koalitsiya-SV on the T-90 tank platform easily destroys artillery and mortar batteries, air defense and anti-missile defense systems, command posts and field fortifications, armored vehicles, and enemy manpower.

It is equipped with a modern 2A88 152 mm caliber gun and hits targets at a distance of up to 70-80 km. The Koalitsiya-SV fires from 10 to 20 rounds per minute.

At the same time, the howitzer itself selects the type of projectile, sets the fuse, and aims the gun. It also reacts to "any unscheduled targets." Only three people are needed to operate the howitzer. Unlike other models, its processes are significantly automated.

The Koalitsiya-SV self-propelled howitzer is not just another example of domestic artillery, but a significant milestone in its development. In fact, it is a combat robot, and a distinctive feature of the SPG is a high level of automation – the crew is located in an isolated armored capsule and remotely controls the combat vehicle from there.

It is expected that Uraltransmash will be engaged in the production of the new Koalitsiya-SV.
