Russia has begun to use new electronic warfare systems in its Armed Forces, designed to combat FPV drones. This is reported by RIA Novosti, citing the commander of one of the RF Armed Forces tank platoons with the call sign 'Owl'.
The publication notes that the electronic warfare system is installed on the tank and does not allow the drone to approach it closer than 10 meters. The drone loses contact with the satellite and its operator and simply hangs in the air, then falls to the ground. The name of the electronic warfare system is not announced.
Obviously, the novelty is capable of strengthening Russian tank building, the success of which has already been recognized in the West. Recently, the popular military magazine 'Army Recognition' analyzed how the Russian tank industry is doing after the imposition of sanctions by the US and Europe. Overall, the experts of the publication concluded: Russia was able to 'adapt and even thrive under the circumstances' in this direction.
