The sources claim that the dealer holding "Autodom", which owns the production lines, is already conducting test work. It is expected that the pilot batch of Chery, assembled here, will be released by the end of 2023. We are talking about the mid-size crossover Tiggo 9 and cars of the sub-brand Chery - Exeed.

JSC "MB RUS", which owns the Esipovo plant, became the property of "Autodom" in April 2023. According to the CEO of the holding, Andrey Olkhovsky, in December of this year, the plant will release the first batch of cars.

He stressed that these will be premium segment cars. According to management plans, the production volume at the "MB RUS" plant in 2024-2025 should be 60 thousand cars per year.

It was previously reported that the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga will assemble 120 units of Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max.
