Construction on the First Floating Clinic in Russia Began

The River Ship with Medical Equipment and a Full Set of Doctors Will be Received by Residents of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra First

The production and port complex "Port Kolomna" has begun construction on the first floating clinic in Russia. This river medical ship was ordered for the needs of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra by the leadership of this region.

Residents of remote regions of Yugra will have a chance to have timely medical examinations and detect serious diseases at an early stage.

According to the press service of the complex, the ship with a displacement of 650 tons has modest dimensions: 65 m in length and 1.8 m in width. It has a small draft of 1.3 m and develops a maximum speed of up to 24 km/h. It can travel up to 500 km per day. Among the characteristics of the medical ship, there is also a small ice reinforcement.

To service the ship, 12 crew members are required. It is assumed that the medical staff of the floating clinic will be 25 people, another 50 people the ship can accommodate as visitors (excluding the crew and medical staff). It is necessary to replenish the supply of provisions on board once every thirty days.

As part of the concluded state contract, the ship is to be handed over to the customer by September 30, 2025. From the place of construction to the place of work, it must reach independently, including via the Northern Sea Route.
