The management of the Russian FSUE "NAMI" met with representatives of the Iranian Cabinet and the oldest Iranian automakers Iran Khodro and Saipa in Tehran.
The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, Manouchehr Mantegi, discussed with the General Director of FSUE "NAMI", Fedor Nazarov, the joint production of cars and auto parts.
He suggested that the Russian side create a branch of "NAMI" in Iran to test new vehicles and auto parts. Mantegi noted that Iran is now engaged in the electrification of transport, which may be of interest to Russia.
In addition, the parties discussed the development of cooperation between FSUE "NAMI", Iran Khodro and Saipa, reducing the cost of exporting the Iranian automotive industry to Russia and measures to increase the competitiveness of Iranian cars in the Russian market.
The introduction of standards for Iran Khodro and Saipa automotive products was also mentioned, in which FSUE "NAMI" can help. "NAMI" has extensive experience in the certification of spare parts and vehicles in Russia according to standards that meet the European level.
