AvtoVAZ to cut Lada Vesta production

Lada Vesta assembly volumes will be reduced due to component shortages

The management of the Russian concern "AvtoVAZ" intends to transfer employees of the assembly shops, where Lada Vesta is produced, to the day shift, according to the insider public Avtograd News. The reason for this decision is a shortage of components. It is noted that the transition to one shift was planned at the beginning of this week.

Employees who worked in the evening shift will assemble Granta and Niva. It is claimed that these production lines will operate without changes.

In March 2023, Rossiyskaya Gazeta wrote that AvtoVAZ was considering the possibility of returning the evening shift for line 1, where the new Lada Vesta is assembled. According to the source, the line's productivity when working in two shifts exceeds 600 cars per day.

Earlier it was reported that AvtoVAZ will start selling Lada Vesta Sportline in November. The car will be included in the sports line.
