Russian IT giant 'Yandex' is expanding the capabilities of YandexGPT. Now, the neural network will be able to summarize videos in Russian. The function is implemented in the Browser and Search.

YandexGPT can analyze videos from 2 minutes to 4 hours long. As explained in the company's press service, the algorithm recognizes speech and converts it into text, then breaks it down into meaningful parts. The neural network also timestamps these blocks.

To use the function, press the 'Brief Summary' button in the Yandex Browser. It works similarly in Search. It is noted that the summary is also available for videos from the YouTube video service. For this, you need to load the video link into the service 300.ya.ru.

'Yandex' believes that this function is convenient for those who like to receive information in text form. YandexGPT was launched in May 2023. Later 'Yandex' presented the second version of the neural network.

In September, the company announced an updated service 'Yandex Pay', which provides the ability to split the cost of a purchase into several payments.
