The Russian IT giant "Yandex" is expanding the possibilities of using YandexGPT. Now the neural network will be able to retell videos in Russian. The function is implemented in the Browser and Search.
YandexGPT can analyze videos lasting from 2 minutes to 4 hours. As explained in the company's press service, the algorithm recognizes speech and converts it into text, and then breaks it down into semantic parts. In addition, the neural network indicates the timecode of these blocks.
To use the function, click the "Brief Retelling" button in the Yandex Browser. It works similarly in Search. It is noted that the retelling is also available for videos from the YouTube video service. To do this, you need to upload a link to the video to the 300.ya.ru service.
Yandex believes that this function is convenient for those who like to receive information in the form of text. YandexGPT was launched in May 2023. Later, Yandex introduced the second version of the neural network.
In September, the company announced an updated "Yandex Pay" service, which provides the ability to split the cost of a purchase into several payments.
