Rosatom to Support Young Physics Teachers in Russia from Nuclear Cities' Schools

Each project participant will receive over half a million rubles: a year-long salary bonus, housing rental compensation, and other expenses will be covered

Rosatom has announced the launch of a new support program for young physics teachers in Russia in the schools of nuclear cities. It started at the beginning of the new 2023-2024 academic year in the schools of Kurchatov, Novovoronezh, and Balakovo. It also extends to other cities where there are nuclear power plants. The company hopes to overcome the staffing shortage there with this program.

Concern Rosenergoatom, the electric power division of Rosatom, provides young specialists with a monthly salary bonus for a year, compensation for housing rental, and one-time payments for home improvement and preparation for employment. This amounts to more than 520 thousand rubles per year for each program participant.

Concern Rosenergoatom is creating conditions to attract young teachers to increase children's interest in the school subject. This is one of the important steps towards preparing future nuclear scientists and engineers ready to work in the nuclear industry and contribute to its development.
