The "State Services Auto" app was launched in Russia in 2021, it is installed by 5.5 million drivers. Since then, its base has uploaded 4 million electronic copies of vehicle registration certificates (VRC) and 2.5 million driver's licenses. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia.

It is noted that the documents loaded into the application are displayed in the form of QR codes. They are scanned by traffic police officers using a special device. The application also provides other features, including processing a European accident report, appealing or paying fines for traffic violations.
The ministry emphasizes that electronic copies of documents are not a substitute for originals. A traffic police officer may ask the driver to present a traditional version of the VRC and rights.
"State Services Auto" is available in foreign and Russian app stores.
