Chirik is a young technopark, its construction began in March 2022. The site was created for the implementation of projects for the production of petrochemical and chemical products in cooperation with the Kazan technopolis Khimgrad.

Interestingly, in April of this year, the possibility of resuming car assembly in Uzbekistan was also discussed by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov. However, there is nothing new about these plans since then.

The current range of UAZ includes commercial models of the SGR family and Profi, as well as the Patriot, Pick-up, and Hunter SUVs. All cars are equipped with 2.7L engines. But soon, UAZ will have its own modern diesel engine and 6-speed manual transmission. These units will also be installed on commercial models and the Patriot.
