AvtoVAZ's subsidiary, Lada Sport, despite difficulties with the supply of components, has started assembling the Granta Sport car with a 1.6 liter 122 hp engine, rear disc brakes and R16 wheels. Judging by the production plan for the supply of chassis and power units from the parent company, 88 cars in the Sport modification should be assembled in August.
And the Autonews resource reported that Lada Sport has already assembled the first test copies of Lada Vesta Sport. A representative of AvtoVAZ said that mass production «is planned to start in the near future».
