The "BN-Motors" dealer holding has opened a plant in Bryansk for the production of BAW small-tonnage trucks, which will be presented under its own BNM brand. Investments in the project amounted to more than 200 million rubles.
According to the president of the "Russian Automobile Dealers" association (who is also the chairman of the board of directors of "BN-Motors") Alexey Podshchekoldin, cars are currently supplied from China in finished form, and assembly directly at the plant will be established in two months. The start of sales is scheduled for November 1.
The staff of "BN-Motors" currently has 70 employees, but as assembly in Russia is established, it will expand to 150 people. This number will also include employees of its own design department, which will be engaged in adapting "Chinese" cars to Russian operating conditions. By 2025, "BN-Motors" expects to reach production of 24 thousand trucks per year.
At the moment, "BN-Motors" has only one model, BAW T7, but with different modifications (the total weight can be 2 or 3.5 tons). There are two cabin options: single (for 2 people) or double (for 5 people). There are also two engines: a purely gasoline engine with a capacity of 133 hp and a bi-fuel (gasoline/methane) engine with a capacity of 122 hp. The gearbox is a 5-speed manual, and the drive is rear. The cost of cars varies from 2.08 to 2.4 million rubles.
