In July of this year, the co-owner of S7 Group Vladislav Filev announced his own training aircraft of the S7 company, and now the image of the machine and photos from the workshops where it is assembled have appeared. The new product is called S7 Tango.
In this "Tango" you can "dance" in foursomes: there are places inside for the commander, the second pilot and two passengers. The fuselage will be made of composite materials, and the engine is its own (developed by the design bureau in Rybinsk) - six-cylinder piston. The screw is imported, but over time it will be replaced, then localization will closely approach 100%.
The maximum take-off weight of the S7 Tango will be 1150 kg, the maximum flight range is 1100 km.
In May of this year, the head of the flight operations management of the Federal Air Transport Agency said that 50% of foreign aircraft in flight schools are inoperative. The problem, first of all, is in the engines, but ordering new motors or even parts for present ones is not possible due to sanctions.
S7 Tango may replace the outgoing equipment in this segment, the main thing is that there is enough power to produce the aircraft in sufficient quantities.
